The veyron is a nice car, unfortunatly a believe only 15 were made, as it costs Volkswagen (yes it was made by them) £5,000,000 to make one.
They sell them for £800,000 each. Thus why they only made 15, it was simply to show that europe is the nuts at making cars. PS. if you yanks disagree with that statement i suggest you buy Clarkson: The good The bad The ugly. They have a dodge viper SRT10 race a BMW Z3 around a track, and the BMW gets a tie. |

America is brilliant at making cars. Providing they don't need to turn corners.

The Veyron is quite simply the most amazing production car ever made - it's like will probably never be seen again as it was little more than an experiment which VAG lost a lot of money on. It's gear box alone cost more money to develop than most cars. It's a pity Volkswagen won't let the stig take it around the Top Gear track. B*stards.

I own an American car... albeit built here in Canada. It is a Chysler 300m. Small v6 3.5ltr unit and fully loaded... no sat nav though  ... it is one of the best cars I have ever owned.... complete luxury.... more comfortable than the Beemer and it handles very well. Obviously not like a small car but it does not wallow in the bends and bounce about like older American cars.... hell even Clarkson liked the 300c... his comments were a gun platform on wheels it looked so mean hahahahahahaha I have 'played' with my 300m and she loves the twisties.... handles better than my Ford Granada (only other big size wise car I have owned)I used to have and that was a nice car too and the 300m is BIGGER than that. I think the comment that all American cars cannot turn corners is now outdated.... and even when it was correct you have to understand that the road systems here and in the US are completely different than back in the UK. The roads are much bigger and with few twists and turns... also the speed limits are much lower. The only down with a yank car is the finish.... mine is cool but the 300c, Charger, Magnum eh are not finished really well.... lots of cheap plastic on the inside. Still I guess you pay for the look and the big Hemi unit... think the top Charger has a 7.2ltr Hemi unit.... hell the Magnum scared the crap out of me with the 5.7ltr  My v6 3.5ltr is sufficient for me... gets me outta trouble and not into it (too much). Des  |
