Default Is the PS3 homebrewable?

I was wondering if you can get homebrew on the PS3? Because I'm trying to decide if I should keep my PS3 updated or not... So yeah, if anyone's got any info on this, please post.

I heard that when the PS3 first came out the FW could run homebrew, and and the first actual FW release you could run homebrew as well...

No problem. The PS3 is just a new slate with a bigger, better homebrew experience...

Yup, that's what I was thinking, imagine the possibilities.

BTW, Ryder, talking about this made me remember, I've got some good news for you, the PS3 didn't sell on Ebay, but I'm still not sure if my grandpa wants it or not...

Ah, okay than, I was wondering why you weren't talking, what was going wrong with it? I think it works through flash, you might want to try unblocking it if you have NoScript or w/e for Firefox.

The problem with not updating is you won't be able to connect to the network without having the latest firmware. No network = no friends, messages, playstation store or online play.

Yup... I think I'm going to keep it updated. Unless a Devhook that is updated like crazy is released...
