My father and I were out and about today, and decided to drop into Gamestop to try out the Wii. Low and behold, when I got in there the Wii controller was missing (Employee took it or someone jacked it. Either way, it wasn't there). So I saunder around looking to find a PS3 demo station. I was in awe. They didn't have demo-able PSP's for months after it was released. I decided to give it a try, after all, the PSP is cool. So I try the NBA Demo...good graphics, mediocre gameplay..and that's being generous. While I was going this the clerk came up behind us and recommended us to play the 'racing game' as he called it. I can't remember the game name now to save my life. So after figuring out how to exit the first damn game (It is NOT, I repeat NOT as simple as the 360. I held the button down a couple times and nothing happened. It was only after I held it down and hit another button that it finally gave me options to quit. Not as stylish as the 360, either.) I casually go to the Game menu and find the demo. It takes a while to load, but nowhere near as long as NBA. I just blindly select the first track and car, just wanting to play. I played it for a few and was both disappointed and impressed. I was disappointed because this game was just a dirt-racing Burnout. How pathetic. I was impressed, however, because the graphics were very good. Jagged edges, sure, but that's to be expected from the first gen of games on the next gen (If that makes sense).
All in all, a fun and informative experience, but I, this being me, would still pick the 360. The PS3 price is just to damn high for any consideration. Not that any of this matters, since I found a place that you can play the PS3, Wii, 360, and highend PC games for 4 dollars an hour. Constantine

Man, I want to try one of 'em, but I'm the only one in the house who'd want to go to game stop just to try it out, so it's not going to happen. Man, we have to go to that VS Gaming place, it sounds/looks cool, and for only $4 an hour, that's great.

The Wii remote was missing because you have to give the cashier your driver's liscense in order to take it out (just for collateral)...VERY RANDOM, I know...but I just had to.
Anyway, If I'm getting either of the consoles it's going to be the 360, just because SONY doesn't deserve my buisness ATM. But before that I'm probably going to end up with a Wii... That just shows how ****ed I am with SONY right now, I'd take their console LAST, putting Nintendo first, then Microsoft...

I would still buy a PS3 just because I have a PSP, OK I am very tempted with the 360 and Wii, they both appeal very much to me, but to tell the truth I can't afford any ATM (saving for a motorbike).
The Wii would be fun but I would get bored of having to swing my arms around to play it. I've never really been a console gamer, only portables and PC's
