I would really love an "inside the car" view on the next GT. Like where you can see the steering wheel turn, the dash, the gauges...everything
wasn't there a view like this on gt4? i'd expect this view as standard in all racing games by now

This is bad news, but I'm not worried about it.

Gaming is a business, and they see it as a great way to make money. Downloadable content that people pay for.

If they try to rip people off (sounds like it's already starting), gamers will recoil, not buy the stuff, and they will make most of it free. It's a game of tug-a-war, and it'll take a while to sort out, and there will be bumps in the road, but eventually it'll be good.

Hopefully not too many games will be sold "incomplete", and the rest of the game will be sold later on as "add ons".

The view in GT4 only showed the hood of the car (or without, if that's what you prefer). I myself like seeing the entire car when I race. Well, unless I have a steering wheel and stuff, then it would be cool in the inside view. They should make the new GT come with a steering wheel, pedals, and shifter. Have there be a clutch and all.... Awesomeness....

I personally don't like the entire car view on any racing game. Either bonnet or bumper cam are the best in my opinion - makes accurate controlling of the car so much easier. The only time this causes a problem is in games like Burnout where deliberately hitting other cars is part of the game - obviously an outside view makes that a lot easier.

Project Gotham Racing has the view Matt is talking about, IMO it is freakin awesome, really immersive. You should check it out if you get a chance.

I got PGR3 with my 360. Looks nice and the control is superb. As a single player racer though it leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. Unlike RR, it is designed for online play.

YES!!! Exactly what I am talking about...

I was in Target playing the demo of PGR on XBOX360 and I fell in love with that view. It was so realistic. When you hit the brakes you felt like you shifted forward, and when you took off you felt like you were being plastered to the seat!

Imagine that view, and those graphics, along with an enormous city to free roam in...I wouldn't even care about getting my liscense... (not really) PS3 has the capacity (22GB) to accomadate all of these awesome features...so it could very well become a reality IMO...
