The intro and trailer are very impressive indeed... but proper ingame footage is what you need to see.... too many times have the trailers or intro to the game have been touted as ingame footage... and it is... just the intro the actual game graphics are no where near as good.... fingers crossed though that this is different..

Ok after viewing it over and over, I've concluded that the character models are indeed ingame. I watched other gameplay vids and saw the same detail. As for the space section I wouldn't be able to say, although I do think they are pre-renders. And that last scene, in the battle, the animations along with the characters were definitely ingame but the environment was not or at least nothing like that will be in the game. Lets face it, the atmosphere is just too immerse.

But I will say this. This game is the closest thing I have ever seen on a console that looks pre-rendered. I have seen gameplay and it blurs that line between gameplay and CGI. Amazing. February 27th can't come sooner.

so are you telling me that the last section where the guys are being shot to pieces is ingame???? as in your in control of a charater in that sequence... I don't think so.... there is no one character that is obviously your controlled character it is just a pre-rendered end sequence or intro... not in game fella.... take another peek... don't get me wrong I would love many more games to be like that but alas this is just a render and a intro sequence.

I think we need to wait and see real ingame footage where someone is in control of a character and not some cut scene.

Not in-game where you control your character, but as in in-game graphically. The character models. The area where you are in isn't fit for gameplay. Also, that area you described, its all camera angle that makes it look so cool. If you were to be watching it in-game where you are in control it wouldn't seem as awesome.

ryder.. think we both are talking about the same thing... the whole of that clip is cut scene or intro action... not in-game-play but in-game cut scene.... that is totally different to in-game-play. If we agree on that then we are both talking about the same thing.

I would hope that the actual in-game-play graphics are really good based on the intro-cut-scene vid. The detail in the vid is very good indeed. I am always blown away by graphics and often have stopped a game to just look at the scene unfolding before me... the COD modern warfare had some awesome in-game-play graphics with stunning detail... the fire effects are just to die for... and Gears was graphically stunning too but in a different way... character detail in that was awesome.

The cut-scenes are small cartoon movies that help the story along and as such have no bearing on how good the in-game-play graphics will be... again I am really interested to see if the game lives up to this trailer and hope that it does for you guys.

No, not in game, as in when you are in control

I think it is video scenes throughout the game. Which are always better detail.

I have learnt a long time ago not to get too worked up over trailers for games as I have been disappointed before after spending the cash on th game only to find it is poo... thats why i love the demo's you get on mags and on-line... try before you buy.
