Hmmm. Nah, I will go for the 80gb and if i need more space then upgrade the HDD meself. The price of them is dropping so will be quite cheap by the time i need/ want to

The PS3 works with any standard laptop HDD.

Yeah Any 2.5" HDD Will Work. I Beleive that it dont void yer warranty as long as you use 5400rpm (Not sure if it voids it if you use a 7200rpm one instead but i am led to beleive it does)

7200rpm laptop drives are quite expensive still aint they? Or just the laptops they come in?

Probably are but some people just prefer them cos they run faster. Yeah but they overheat yer psp aswell mate So when/if i upgrade it i will defo go for 5400rpm

yeh, there's not too much of a difference. even the solid state drives dont improve it too much. gamespot did a comparison, and in some tests, the SS drive went slower.

I'm guessing you mean PS3, and that is not true. HDDs don't run hot.

I know. They use more power though Which in turn could overheat the system. Although arent the new ones running alot cooler and quieter cos of some slightly modified ship or sumfin?
