Rumor: PS3 slim to be released? - PSP-Forum.com

According to a number of sources, Sony may have a new PS3 in development to be released this Autumn. It has been nicknamed the PS3 Slim but not much is known about it at the moment. Rumors claim it to be better-looking, lighter and{obviously} slimmer. Some even claim that this may be the long awaited 120/160GB version. When a member of Sony was asked about the slim PS3 he gave us the same answer as before they released the Slim PSP. Please note that this is only a rumor and has NOT been confirmed.

Think about all the other slims. More chance of it happening in maybe another 2-3 years... NOT this year

Who the hell would want a PS3 slim anyway? For handhelds, weight is a factor, so it works there. But for an actual console, I see no purpose.

It would actually be really useful for me. I go away to college, and as you can guess, there is a lot of stuff to bring. So, the smaller everything is, the better for me.
