Having your downloads go at 70 KB/s doesn't mean anything. Try going to Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test and then tell me what you get there.

Um, actually that is about as good as you will get it to go. Your max speed should be 768 kbps, but no connection actually goes to its max speed. The reason why your ping skyrockets in CSS while using your PS3, is that your connection is simply slow. It is not the company's fault, that is simply the speed you are paying for.

Do you live in the US and have cable internet? If so, you can even go higher than that. I have DSL and it goes at around 3,000 kbps.

*Edit* NVM, I can't read. You are in London, yeah, European internet goes even faster. I believe you can get a 20 mbps connection (about 20,000 kbps) for $45. Other countries go as high as 100 mbps for that much money...

I do know that Virgin are coming out with 50meg soon, they have fibre optic cables.

Oh yeah i remember one of my mates telling me about that. We had to do something about virgin in I.T and he read that. Apparently the school were meant to be getting fibre optic cables installed. Did they ****...

The internt is soooo slow. Talking about speeds. I dont think i will be psting my speed as it is totally **** at the moment. It was better but now seems to have reduced a couple of megs

Apparently we get 8meg but at best we get 5...

EDIT: I just did a speed test for the hell of it
