Just read about 15 pages of freeze info and it seems that the PS3 is more prone to the freezing that the 360 and the 60gig PS3 is more likely to freeze.

This could be that more users have the 60gig unit that the other two types... not sure... but this is not due to a disk malfunction as people have already changed their new copies two or three times and still the freeze up.... and it covers the entire world too.. so it looks like a proper glitch...

Interestingly the initial reports show numerous locations that glitch and if people avoid them all seems well until they find another freeze point.

I notice that RockStars GTA website just crashed under the tremendous amount of hits it just had... fingers crossed that they sort the glitch out and release a fix shortly.

This is a common glitch but still there are many many people that do not encounter the problem.

With such a BIG launch I wonder how the testers didn't come across this glitch as it is common enough that they would have found it.... sad really that such a prestigous title and global launch that it would be tarnished like this.

A hair discussion is something I didn't expect to come across in this thread! To add to it, I also have long hair.

So far so good...put about four hours intoit with no probledms so far (360 version).

Interesting game... not sure if I love it, adore it or just plain like it.... watched the tv for ages though and was curled up with the episode of the Republican space rangers

Graphics and sound are awesome.... still getting used to the cars... man their brakes are crap...ABS or Traction control would be nice hahahaha

Been arrested, killed and fell to my death from a great height. I have been knocked down and beaten up, chased on foot caught nd then beaten up.

OH I LOVE THIS GAME , put 8 hours in yesterday no problems as of yet, well except the first (& only) time I've been to the internet cafe, i could hear a constant car horn going off even though there was no car making the sound, really annoyed me as I could still hear the horn whilst surfing the web (some of the myroom pages are funny!)
love the hookers now they actually do different 'services' , but while it says push the LB button to scroll through the services, I cant see any indication of which service I am choosing, is it just a shot in the dark?

I love Little Jacob, though I cant understand him one bit, he's cool.

To the contrary Des, my friends GTA IV wouldn't work on his PS3. We tried my copy and it worked flawlessly. Then we tried his copy in my PS3, didn't work. Its the DVD's.

Ryder... interesting.... this is contarary to the norm as with most the disk does not make a difference.... more like a situation within the game (glitch)... oh well lets hope you friend gets it sorted.
