I really don't think I care either way about achievements, I mainly like to play games just for the story and the escape they provide. Might give some games a little more longetivity though.

I would like achievements. I know many people who buy games for the 360 just for the achievements no matter what the game is. Crazy I know and a waste of money.

OMG!! My brother way playing this game and I was watching him, and he shot this guy, so a cop was after him, but the cop was on foot, and my brother took off as soon as the cop was at his car's door, so the cop grabbed the back door and was holding on, and my brother crushed the cop between a taxi and his car, it was great.

Awesome, yeah about the achievements, i think they add alot more to the game, this has been brewing from the start but, they give you a sense of achievement HAHAHAHAHA.
Anywhos, GTA does look great but in all honesty after playing it for 2 minutes and hating the delayed controls im laying back on this one as a maybe. Kev

On what aspect are the controls delayed... the car controls are well over sensitive if anything but no delays at all. Or is this just on the ps3 version (Ryder stop right now that was no dig). Des

Des... first of all i was playing on the 360 version and yes i noticed the controls to be slightly delayed.
The best example i can give is the difference between Pro Evo and Fifa. Pro Evo is much more resposive to your controls, whereas Fifa you tend to have to spend more time on the technique and skill kinda thing. Any football fan who has played both will understand what i mean. Anyways, i got the feeling with GTA4, that the characters response time seems to have slowed maybe to benefit the graphics, i dont know but i noticed it none the less. It also may have been the horrid third party controller i was using which was just aweful. Im still getting this game but that is a kind of let down. Plus i couldnt go round corners in the cars at all (now i know how it feels to be an american car owner) HAHAHAHA ummmm so yeah thats about it really. Kev
