PS3 Price Cut.. Again?

Im sure alot of u have heard the rumors about a 120 GIG PS3 that is supposed to debut sometime.. but I also heard that when Sony releases the 120 GIG that the 40 will be price dropping again.. anyone else hear that or have any information on it?

Yea but aparently the 120 GIG is supposed to replace the 80 and be the same price.

I've heard the same rumor. They'll probably announce something soon, like maybe at the upcoming Game Developer's Conference in a week or two.

Both actually, I don't think the 40 GB price drop will happen until later in the year though.

I heard of all this as well, but about 2 weeks ago. Now all the rumors quieted down. The main reason behind the 120 GB PS3 is the fact that Best Buy and Game Stop are not getting any more shipments of the 80 GB. I am not sure if there is a real proof behind the 120 GB SKU, or it is pure speculation.

OOOOH, i hope so.

I cant even use the 20gig (actually 13 gigs) 360 hard drive so 40 is well enough, the sight of 360 and ps3 sitting next to each other is getting clearer.

Outside of the price, I do not really see your point. You can put any laptop 2.5" hard drive instead of the original PS3 one, so technically it can go as high as laptop hard drives go. Then if that is not enough, any external plug-and-play hard drive works as well.
