Default Resistance 2 Announced

Yup, the long awaited sequel to Resistance:Fall of Man has finally been announced, and my god, we have one hell of a game in our hands guys!

The original Resistance supported 40 people in one room max, while providing an offline-only co-op option to play through it's story line.

Resistance 2 will support a maximum of 60 people per game on MASSIVE maps based on a United States setting(60!)! Will have different types of players like Medics, Heavy Duty Solders, etc. al la COD4. But what is simply mind blowing is that it will support an 8 person co-op story line, aside from the single player story line. So you're getting two full story lines with the game. Oh and it supports 2 player offline co-op also. The game is scheduled for a Fall 08 release date, and knowing Insomniac, there will be no delays...Oh and the current graphical level of the game is simply amazing for a second year game, simply annihilates the original Resistance! Here are a few scans from February's issue of Game Informer(P.S - They're so big, I just linked to them instead):

If I'm not mistaken, Sony also said a while back this game is still in Alpha stage...doubt it though but hey, I am SO F*CKING HYPED FOR THIS GAME!!!

That looks awesome, I just hope they make it more realistic than the first one, along with some smarter AI. After a bunch of FPS from 2007, Resistance 1 is far behind, so it will definitely need an improvement. Those pictures do look like they are doing a great job though.

BTW, I love your sig picture.

I can't wait for that, I need to get my PS3 again, even if that is the only reason, that is one hell of a reason. Uncharted also looks awesome. It's good to see that the PS3 finally has some good games coming out for it. I can't wait till I get my copy of the mag so I can read all the articles.

60 players? You think thats bad? I play BattleField 2142 on PC, its a game that came out a year and a half ago. It gets up to 64 players online in massive battles. There are only a few servers like that because they are privately run, and are very expensive, but the ones that are there are so fun.

They are glowing just like normal Chimera eyes.

Yeah, that makes sense, I suppose I didn't pay attention to their eyes because they were aliens, but they look crazy on Nathan.
