You could have roughly 25 movies that look good in the space that 1 movie that looks a little better.

Also, were you the one that used up all the bandwith on the rapidshare account? It doesn't really matter as it's expired now anyways, just curious.
An extra pixel here and there? Its a little more than that really...ha, but hey, to each his own I guess...and no, I used 2GB at the most...I don't like hogging bandwidth haha.,.

Holographic Versatile Disc...

Quote:
Holographic Versatile Disc (HVD) is an optical disc technology which would hold up to 3.9 terabytes (TB) of information which is approximately 5,500 times the capacity of a CD-ROM, 830 times the capacity of a DVD, 160 times the capacity of single-layer Blu-ray Discs, and about 4 times the capacity of the largest computer hard drives as of 2007.
Maybe in 10 years right?

Well I still want it in 1080p and the fact that converting 20+ GB's of data would be insane...I don't think a computer will be able to do it without taking ages...maybe if you convert it on the PS3 using Linux, haha 8 processors converting simultaneously, thats a good 20+ Ghz of max processing speed if I'm not mistaken...each SPU is like 3.2Ghz each!

Do the linux OS's use the full processing power, or do they only use the main CPU? Also, how is the linux on those, because you just gave me a superb idea ryder.

Dont buy a pc for my room and not get a ps3. Instead, by a ps3 running linux.

Well Yellow dog Linux is built specifically for the PS3, so I'd imagine that it'd use more than the main PPU...but remember Kev, 512MB RAM, and you have to format the HDD to either 10GB to Linux 50GB to PS3 OS, or 50GB to Linux and 10GB to PS3 OS, kinda sucks about that part, but you could use a USB HDD. Oh and Sony rendered the graphics chip inaccessible to Linux, as the PS3 would become the ultimate piracy vessel...take this into mind young padwon...

Why would you want to download it in 1080p resolution? I mean my computer screen, along with my TV only go up to 1280 x 768 resolutions (or 720p when not for the TV when its not connected to a computer). Do you actually have anything that can play that?

I know that some HD-DVDs have regular DVDs on one side, but I don't know if there are dual format disks like that. I think LG made a dual format player though...
