apparently they ARE selling the units at a loss, i.e. they cost more to produce than they're selling them for, I'm not certtain on this, just something I've heard, they make their profits on the games & licenses etc.

Let me ask a question to everyone, how many people do you know with a 360, wii or ps3?

I know of 2 people with a 360, 3 with a Wii, don't know anyone with a PS3.

The Wii is selling loads here.... the TV advertising has now changed to show that the Wii is for the entire family to play and not just the younger members of the family.

I know at the local gamers stores there is always a line of families buying Wii's as well as people playing the instore Guitar Hero II demo!!!

It is a great little box of tricks with a re-visited control system... not sure that it is aimed at the more serious gamer mind you but obviously it's demographic is spot on as it is selling LOTS.... would love the oppertunity to have one for a weekend to test drive.

Same here, it's not on the top of my to get list, but if I had to opportunity to get one for free or to test it out for a bit, you bet your a** I'd take it.

OK I only bought it because I am and always have been a Nintendoid (I wont say fanboy) and it's cheaper than the ps3, as soon as the inevitable price drop happens on the ps3 a couple of times (say xmas 2009) I might get one, but for now I'm happy with my Wii and looking forward to some of the games being released.

Need to go and buy Res Evil 4!

I don't have any money, I've got a tube with $17.34ish in it, if you could tell me where I could get a Wii for $17.34 I'd go get it, but I doubt it.
