Well it's been banned in most places but there is a petition for UK people on the PM's web-site to get the rules changed so that people over 18 can choose to play this game, in full understanding that it is very gory and violent, I've signed it and I urge all UK residents here to do so too.

I doubt I'll buy this game but I have signed it out of principle in that I don't agree with the censorshiping of video games.

I loved Manhunt 1, if it comes out for the PS3 or 360, I'll probably have one of my parents buy it for me(more than likely my dad because he's cool like that.

:P) I signed it even though I'm not in the UK, maybe it'll affect the US...

You know, I didn't think to actually check out the link, I signed a petition a while back for the same cause, I just thought it was the same one for some reason, yeah, only Britts can sign it.

Don't know of this game.... can someone post some details??? only game I can ever remember being banned was Conan the Barbarian on the PC in Germany.... they didn't like the gore so the beheading sequence was changed from a bad guy to an animal or some such thing.

****-Bash was banned as well.... used to be able to get it at the Free Domain companies untill it was banned.

Am finding it hard to understand what content would be in a game that would get it banned.... perhaps graphic rape scenes etc... but what software company would do that sort of thing anyway.... the violence is so high and gore intense that I am at a complete loss as to wonder why a game would be banned.

I don't really remember much about the game as I was like 10 when I played it(nice parenting, right, lol) Anyways, here's the gamestop review. It was sooooo much fun, it gave me the coolest nightmares. :twisted: I'm still afraid of the dark because of it. :shock: jk

manhunt 1 was released but was banned shortly after its release, I played it and it consists of sneaking up on the bad guys and then killing them using things you will find about the levels (plastic bag, sheards of glass, baseball bats, crowbars etc.). There was a system where the longer you stalked your enemy close enough, the more brutal the kill was - One I loved was when he used the baseball bat to first suffocate the enemy and leave him on his knees unconcious, then proceeded to decapitate the enemy by giving him an almighty blow with the bat.
One main reason the game was banned was because some high school kid killed somebody and the blame was placed on this game.

As the Wii version was to include doing the killing motions using the wiimote yourself, and promises of much more gore than the first game, Manhunt 2 is officially banned. Gutted!

Search for any review of the game to see for yourself some of the details.
