Speaking of that point I dont think we will get any real amazing games from the Wii. I believe the Wii just uses standard cd's for there games. It doesnt play DVD's it def dont play blu-ray, so just the simple fact that it uses cd's instead of dvd's will but a hamper on alot of stuff.

There's no doubt in my mind that the Wii crushes both 360 and PS3 when it comes to originality.

I've always been a big graphics fan since I mostly play race simulators or anything that has to do with a motor and real life physics. The Wii really isn't too far behind on graphics if you ask me. I saw a commercial where the guy was playing Madden '07 and the graphics looked better than PS2. Also, when people say that the graphics on the Wii aren't good, they aren't actually describing the graphics...they're just thinking more of the detail. It's not like all the people's faces are blury and pixelated, they're just cartoon-like.

The Wii has tons of potential and I'm sure it will do fine, because it's not even like SONY or Microsoft can take one of their ideas for a game...

I'm not too sure about that. From what I have seen it is not as powerful as the original Xbox but time will tell.
I beg to differ, have you seen Zelda? OK not the best graphics in the world, but the details are good, the water effects are amazing. What games have you seen being played?

Wii sports looks good IMO, the graphics are good in a cartoony sort of way.

Yes, I have seen it and it looks good. However, I think you underestimate just how good the original Xbox was. Just have a look at Far Cry Instincts - you would hardly believe it was a last gen game.

Strictly speaking, both Microsoft and Sony could make their respective consoles exactly like the Wii for not much cost as the Wii's 'innovation' is all in the remote - the console itself is little more than a small upgrade of the Gamecube. In fact, as people have already got the Wii remote working on a PC, there is absolutely no reason it wouldn't work on a 360 or even PS3 with the right drivers. Neither Microsoft or Sony are likely to do this but my point is they could.

Let's also not take away the vague possibility in the future of Wii emulation on both the 360 and PS3. I suspect both consoles are powerful enough to do it and, as mentioned above, with the right drivers the Wii remote would work equally well on both as the Wii I suspect. A long shot but stranger things have happened.

Thats what I was thinking...the PS3 and 360 are defenitily powerful enough to emulate that Wii...and I already have the PS3 controller working on my computer...just trying to support you Pagnel... 8)

I suppose you're right, but you've payed more than an extra £100/$190ish for them.

Eh? I paid £190 for my 360, £20 more than the Wii costs.

A brand new Core pack and I bought a game and memory card seperately. That is a basic package with only one controller and no hard disk but then again, the Wii is a basic package too.
