Could the Wii beat PS3 & 360?

but surely next nintendo Wii LL beat Sony and whoever else may come, nintendo made enough money already to prepare other console, most porwerful, the Wii was just an experience. . . nintendo all the way

The Wii can win, but it depends on what its being compared too. The Wii will win in gameplay, but it will be crushed graphics wise. But graphics do not make a game, it may make a game look good, but it all comes down to gameplay.

Very true, Ryder was telling me something about a like award thing on gamespot or something, his mic was breaking up at the time, he was saying that it went 1st. PS3, 2nd Wii, and I think he said Xbox 360 didn't make it on there, but if it's for next gen concels, I think it'd have to be... I don't know, Ryder will know for sure since he told me.

Yes this does come as a surprise to me...I would have thought the 360 would have won this award since it has had a good year to advance in software...and the fact that the Wii is the runner up...simply wrong don't you think... :lol:

Ooooooooooh now I get it, yeah, you'd think that it would, since it got the year. But than again, it did come out in 2005 I think... I don't know, I think they just think the PS3 and Wii are better. :P

I think PS3 and 360 are on a or will be on a par, I haven't played a PS3 yet but would imagine both to look pretty much the same graphics-wise, but they can't beat the Wii for simplicity, gameplay and innovation.
I applaud Nintendo for making this system for such a cheap price too.

I really only see the Wii as a NEXT-GEN console, while the ps3 and 360 are just the ps2 and xbox with updated hardware.

That is a very personal point of view. Personally, I would argue the updated hardware makes the 360 and PS3 next generation were as the Wii is last gen in every respect other than motion techonology that was in use on Microsoft gamepads over five years ago (albeit with the Wii being a lot more accurate of course with a few extra features).

All three are next gen. It depends what generation it is.

The wii's gameplay etc is next gen, sure there have been similar before but the wii has got it right.

The PS3 and 360 have next gen graphics and media etc, yet the gamepplay is the same. Apart from the PS3's tilt ccontroller, which i dont consider next gen but a gimmick.

So anyone arguing that Wii has got something thats already been done, then you could say the same about PS3 and 360, alienware computers have already hit the same hardware platform before they both were released.

I would consider the graphics on the Wii to be next-gen too, even though they aren't anything compared to those of the 360 or ps3, but I consider them to be better than X-box and PS2, Nintendo haven't even said how much power the Wii actually has..

I'm not too sure about that. From what I have seen it is not as powerful as the original Xbox but time will tell.
