At the moment the only online game is Pokemon Battle Revolution which is not out here yet (it is in Japan)
Super Smash Bros Brawl is likely to be online which is going to be quite awesome.

Had a play on my friend's over the weekend, both Zelda and Wii sports. Very good in a novelty sort of way and a lot of fun. However, I maintain my original opinion that having to wave your arms around like an idiot just to play a game (with no option not to) would get annoying after a bit. At least it would for me.

Still, lots of people are buying it (it's outselling the PS3 everywhere) so I'm obviously in the minority.

you are, its not as if you have to swing your arms all day like a pure idiot, its just like having extra buttons, I like it, ive always been one for turning the controller in driving games, and ducking and dodging in fighting games.
To tell the truth, normal consoles I get bored of, I was really getting into Zelda last night, I love the fighting system, see an enemy? wave your hand!

Cant wait to get call of duty for it, I think the aiming on it would be much easier than any analogue IMO, aiming the catapult in zelda is great, quick and accurate, using the analogue stick to move, and the remote to aim, pure genious!

Plus you can lay back in your chair, in a comfortable position, with the comfiest controller ever IMO.

On the way home from my mates house, my other mate said it's gotta be the best console EVER, his words precisely, and I would have to agree,

I'm just waiting for nintendo to introduce controllers to clip to your feet and head.

I might be in a minority but that doesn't make me wrong. And not having to swing your arms all day doesn't alter the fact it has to be done to an extent. I just don't like the idea of HAVING to do it. It isn't an option. Sometimes I would want to just sit back and play a game as normal.

Plus the Wii will become more and more isolated as a platform. Lot's of them have been sold so games will be released for it but, unlike the 360 and PS3, they will become less and less serious.

thinking about it, you're probably not in the minority, most serious gamers will probably not buy a Wii, and opt for a ps3 or 360, just for the better graphics and performance, personally, I don't give that much thought into the graphics of a game as they're not all that important, the gfx of twilight princess are good enough as any for me, I love the water effects of it.

I've never been into the serious games that much, I've always thought gaming to be a fun thing to do between mates, theres no point in a game unless its got multiplayer IMO,all i did on super mario bros 3 on the nes was play the multiplayer game with my brother, the first thing I did with my wii was take it to a friends house, I get bored of single player games too quickly. thats why I want fun games that will keep me entertained and this new concept of controlling is something I really like.

Each to their own I suppose, the Wii is just selling well because it appeals to a much wider audience, no longer do you need to know a whole array of button combinations and controls, just swing, its so simple, and the simplest ideas are usually the best.

This is a console I reckon I could get my Mum and Dad to have a go on, they wouldnt have a clue with any PS controller.
