Bamhm, I take it you have heard about the Nintendo Virtual Console? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Console
I've got 2000 Wii Points so I can buy Mario64 and I'm keeping the other 1000 until I decide what to get... Sonic on MegaDrive? Wait for Super Mario World 3... I just don't know

Yeah, I've been browsing the net about the Wii for the last few hours, I'm calling Gamestop tomorrow to see when the nearest time after Christmas I can go in and get a Wii is, than I'm going to camp it, because people will be there early, I think they will anyways...

EDIT: There's no way in hell I'm bringing it to my mom's house, electronics don't do very well over there and with the Wiimote slipping and blowing stuff up every once in a while, I'm not going to take any chances, with my luck and the luck of that house, it'll slip, smash through my brother's lizard cage, knock me out and break the Wii, lol.

EDIT 2: I think I might have to get a few of those Wii Point Cards too, I just remembered I've got some $$ saved up...

EDIT 3: The games I want to get are:

Rampage: Total Destruction(I LOVED it on the PS1, so I bet it'll be great on the Wii)

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess(I really like the Zelda games)

Redsteel(I heard it sucks, if you have it, what do you think of it, I think it looks pretty cool)

Call Of Duty 3 (It doesn't look like it's out yet, but it looks pretty cool from what I've seen for the other systems)

What do you think about those games? Do you have any other that you'd recommend?

I'd add Wii Play to that list, I don't know about the US prices but over here a Wiimote is £29.99 and a Wii game is £34.99. Wii Play is £32.99 and it comes with a free Wii-mote

As you can see from this thread, what the other system's COD3 looks like is irrelevent. The graphics on the Wii version look like a five year old PC game. Apparently it plays quite good though if you can ignore the last-gen graphics.

Yeah, I've never been one to focus JUST on the graphics, I'd rater have a fun game that looks like crap than a boring game with some GREAT graphics myself, I'll probably be getting it still.

I've looked at the reviews, I don't think I'll be getting Redsteel, and Rampage got a bit of a bad review, but I still want it, I think the only one I'll be takeing out is Redsteel, and I'll take a look at Wiiplay later.

Well, only an idiot would focus purely on the graphics - I don't know anyone who does (hence why Just Cause on the 360 is generally viewed as being sh*t despite looking superb). However, with the next gen consoles here, it should be more than possible to have both superb graphics and superb gameplay - this is shown with games like Gears Of War. However, Nintendo have decided to take a chance that their new fangled interaction system will be more impressive to people than top of the range graphics. They have looked at the DS v's PSP sales and decided the same can be applied to non-handheld consoles. I think that is wrong.

I personally think it's all very well now while the 'movement' thing is all the rage but when the novelty wears off and people get fed up of not being able to simply play a game without looking like an idiot, the 360 and PS3 will still be the consoles everyone turns to for a good old fashioned blast and the Wii will go the way of the Gamecube.

totally agree with you Pagnell, the Wii is a console every gamer should own or at least try to play with for a while, it is cheap enough, its a great concept and is a step closer to virtual reality or whatever you want to call it. But at the end of the day, who wants to be waving arms about and having exercise all the time while playing a videogame? tap tap tap works good enough in my book.

I also think that there is a limit on how many games can be made using motion as a way of controlling them, racing games or 3rd person shooters wouldn't be as fun, once you're done with the sports games & swordfights & air guitar games, what else is there?

Well, I don't know, I think I'd actually like shooting games on it, I agree with the racing games though, but that's what the other controller is for, it's for all those times when you'd rater not move around like crazy, when you'd just enjoy a "good old fashioned blast" Also, correct me if I'm mistaken, but the Wii comes with one of these already, so you could use whichever one you want without buying another controller.
