Not tempted with it at all myself - all it has going for it is it's size and price. The graphics look last gen and the new controller is little more than a gimmick in my view. There will be a few games that will make it worth buying to a lot of people (Zelda and Mario for example) but not enough to make me part with money I could buy four 360 games with.
They finished a distant third in the last generation of consoles and I see little to suggest this generation will be any different.

I'm bringing up this thread again, I've got one now, and wondering who else has by now, would be nice to have other peoples wii number to exchange messages over the Wii.
Gotta say the Wii has impressed me, I can see myself playing this a lot more than I would play any 360 or PS3 (but that's just me) I believe Nintendo have always had the best games for their systems. I found out I can plug my phone's memory card into the Wii to view and edit them. Which is nice, the editing is limited but it's still fun. Making Mii's is fun, times when I cant figure out a puzzle in Zelda and need a break, I'll probably go make another Mii, sending them to other consoles is decent, and apparently your Mii's can wander around to different Wii's. likewise others can visit yours, I haven't seen any yet though. The channels idea is a good one, even though there is only a shop, weather, news and internet channel, there is plenty of room for others. Just a matter of time for the big N to improve things. Typing on the wii isn't that much of a problem either, there is an on screen keyboard and when you type letters in, there is a list of possible words for you to choose from if you want to. Haven't tried any FPS on it yet but I would imagine the aiming system for it will be a lot easier to use than any 2-analogue controls, as precise they may be, you can't beat your own aim. OK the graphics aren't as good as any 360 or PS3, but they are quite smooth, better than PS2 & X-box at least IMO and as with any new console, over time the developers will realise better way to utilise the hardware and create better looking games.
