Guys might put personality first, but most of the time, it's the looks that bring the guy to talk to the girl in the first place....so how does that one work out???

I would disagree. The most stunning girl in the world could act really shy and unnaproachable. It is how the person acts, apparently you make a decision about someone within 5 seconds of seeing them.

When i first saw her, she was quiet, so i thought, probably taken, and didnt think of trying with her. Turns out, she likes me, i was over the moon lol.

You misunderstood. The main factor in finding a "mate" is their apperance. That's what sparks your interest, and makes you go up to her and talk to her. If you weren't attracted to her looks, you would have never payed enough attention to her to get into a real relationship.

Also, I'm not refering to you at all Kev, as you had an exception and found out she liked you. But it still applies really. She never talked to you but she was attracted to you by shear looks. Now I'm not saying looks is everything. It's second to personality in my opinion. Once you start talking to a girl you like you start getting to know her, and can decide weather you do like her or not.

I do agree that without some kind of initial attraction a relationship is unlikely to start. What I would argue, though, is that a couple's personality and attitude toward each other is what makes it last.

I don't know her, so I can't judge her personality, but I do know that she is hot.

And on the subject of looks vs. personality. Both important to me, I'm not going to lie, however, personality is more important, because I can get over if a person's not really that hot, but if the girl's a complete a**hole all the time or something, that'd drive me insane. I can't get a girl, but if I could, I'd pick the mediocre looking one who's a lot of fun to hang out with than the hot one who's a complete bi***.

Also, like Vamp said, a personality can make a mediocre looking girl look much prettier. I've had that happen a lot where a girl I like isn't that great looking, but she's really cool.
