Default UMD to DVD or Computer Hard Drive

Can anyone advise can I transfer video from a UMD to either DVD format or onto a computer hard drive where I can then convert it to dvd format ??

I use PSP Movie Maker to convert the other way round with no problems !!

Thanks,

allibg5

No. You can't. That's illegal I think.

Legality depends on local laws but it's not something you should do (In the UK it is legal to make a sensible backup but it's still dodgy!).
There are probably ways but they would be so close to creating game ISO's as to be against the site rules.

Also, if you tried to make a DVD out of it, it wouldn't look too good. The resolution of the film is all wrong and the PSP's widescreen is non-standard. You would have to re-encode it. Doing this usually looses a lot of detail and you risk warping the image so it looks squashed or streched.

Probably possible, jut not a good idea

There's a little program (homebrew) that dumps a disk image (.iso) BAAAAAAD onto your memory stick, it's not illegal in the UK to do a backup, as long as you purchased it in the first place, if anyone wants to know what the programs called, PM me! DO NOT ASK IN PUBLIC

P.S if i've said anything I shouldn't have ill edit my post!
