Default Movies converting

I have two questions:

1) I have read how to copy mp4 onto the psp but what exactly is the thm file for? Do I need to copy that somewhere too?

2) Once I have converted a movie into M4V...etc. can I also use this exact file to play on an ipod....I have not got one yet, but am hoping to buy one soon. Or do I need to convert teh movie into mp4 format using a differnt conversion program - or one that states specifically to convert to play on an ipod?

Many Thanks.

The problem with using PSP files on an ipod is the screen format. The PSP screen is very wide. If you convert a film to fill the PSP screen it'll look bad on the ipod

Then again, most films look bad on an ipod.

Get an Archos HD based player. Much better, bigger screens!
