ver1.0 n 1.5 can play hombrews.
1.52 to 2.5 cant play homebrew. ver2.0 to 2.5 have internet browser. any version can have a internet browser unless u HACK it.

Yep. Your version, 2.5 has an option for location free player.
It's not really that useful though. You need a $350 location free base player and a wireless internet connection to watch movies and videos away from home... Starting with 2.0, they also had a permanent wallpaper function built into it.  If you can, I suggest you wait until you can downgrade so you can use homebrew('hacking' the PSP). But if you aren't into that kind of stuff... well upgrade away!
