Default PSP set-up? media? HELP please

I've been researching for the last couple hours and can't come up with anything. So I decided to sign up here and ask for some help.

So it's like this I just bought my psp like 4 days ago with a 1 gig memory stick. It saves games, and I can save pictures to it by visiting websites on my PSP wirelessly and saving the pictures from the web onto my PSP. I haven't tried downloading music, but I've been wanting to put some videos from the web on it.

When I turn on the PSP (with or without mem. stick) I have video, music, and photo options. I can view the photos no problem. So I downloaded media manager for PSP, and every single video there shows up and says "not compatible". I have no idea how to either transfer or convert it for transfer to the PSP.

I hear you're supposed to get a seperate folder on the psp one with video, music, and photo but I don't have a separate folder I just have 3 separate ones: music, video, photo and when I go to them it drops down and says "memory stick". I'm about ready to pull my hair out trying to get this organization and transfer BS figured out.

Try using PSPVideo9 to convert your files. It's free, easy to understand and will even place your files in the correct place for you. Just google it.
