I noticed that you visited my page and wonder if you can help. I need to update my son's PSP firmware version 3.71 M33-2. No matter what method I use I get a message that says;
"The Memory Stick could not be read. If you cancel, you may not be able to start the PSP system.
Check that the Memory Stick is correctly inserted, and then press the x button.
(80010005)"

Do you have any suggestions? I am trying to run Madden 10 and this custom firmware has really made it impossible for me to do so. I cannot update from the stick and get the same message when I try from the UMD itself. Mikesta99 suggested I update from the recovery/configuration menu but the option is not there. PLEASE HELP if you can.
