Ok so im kinda new to the psp and have a few questions...

1) what is "homebrew"?
2) why does everyone want to downgrade to 1.5?
3) Is it possible to watch movies from your psp on your tv?

I read through a few posts here and there but im still confused.

he probably doesnt know what emulators are

they are games and things like that that can be saved on your memory stick. For example you can get the Homebrew game PONG for your PSP,

We all want to downgrade to 1.5 because the higher the firmware, the harder to put homebrew on it.

but its rubbish. you can get a Recorder that will record and playback videos straight to/from your memory stick, just like a VCR/DVD but for your memory stick. search for "Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder"
