Default psp music and game downloads

Hello, I have recently purchased a new Psp 1 gig pack for my son.
I am new to this and have been trying to transfer music, i have got the stage of seeing the tracks in the music folder created in psp/music but when i attempt to play them an error messege reads WMA TRACKS WITH COPYRIGHT PROTECTION CANNOT BE PLAYED, these tracks are on my laptop, so i dont understand.

I am also interested if it is possible to download games on to the stick.

any help will be much appreciated.

Regards

Welcome!

dowloaded games for psp are called iso's and are illegal. like wipeout and games made for psp. you can, however, dowload games called homebrew. hb is pretty much old games that arent in production anymore. you can learn more in the homebrew section.

Many thanks for the replies and responce, however I use a pc mostly for work and with a young family not very often for pleasure. I have saved over 15GB of my cd collection on my long suffering laptop, but I have never converted a music file to a mp3, I would be very grateful for some simple advice as my son (6 yr old) enjoys of all singers Madonna.

Many thanks

man, i don' know what our very friend adim. will say about that, but here u go . . .

if have itunes in your pc (if u don' please download (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/) or look for any mp3 converter although all of them will charge u!) or u may use this other option download this software goldwave (http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs...s/gwave513.exe)

after downloadin intall it, after u need to install another one . . . . . . because u need the file to save to mp3 (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Lame_Encoder.htm)

then after installin lame mp3enconder u can use goldwave to convert ur mp3, by simply openin the file u want to convert n' savin it, but u choose to save as mp3 . . . . well, easily can be using itunes . .. .but u have to configure it to convert, after u install itunes go to preferences under the tab import u change the the ACC file to Mp3 128kbs or more or less, whatever u choose, then apply, now just drag the musics u want convert to mp3 into the itunes n it will do the job, well any doubts contact me, im in hurry, that's im typin fast n' didn' check any mistake . . . . .

man i can explain to u via msn, add me ever_psp@hotmail.com or via email, otherwise my friends here will kill me . . . cheers

If you have WMA music that is protected on your laptop, you cannot easily do an MP3 conversion. It's possible but involves lots of hassle which I'm not going into here. How did you buy the music? Was it through bloatware crap iTunes? If so, use iTunes to burn them to CD (which you can do) and then rip the resulting CD to MP3 as normal using Audiograbber.
