Yeah, psp video 9 is used to convert to MP4 and you need software to rip the dvd to a single file format.

PSP Video 9 - Free PSP Video Converter

The dvd ripper you just need to google for, i dont know any good ones because i dont use any.

Try Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com and look at reviews etc

Don't know 'bout any allright and free DVD rippers, but I had problems with PSP video 9 (Slower comp, ocassional crash and it takes forever).

I now use "Plato Video To PSP Converter Free 3.66", not sure if theres a newer version.

A USB cable for a link between the computer and PSP costs around £5-6 ($10-12).

GAMEware PSP USB Link & Charger Cable (PSP) - free UK delivery at GAME.co.uk

Just google it
