Default Xbox Wireless Connection Problems

A long time a go i made a topic about buying either a 360 or an xbox. I ended up buyiong the xbox since he lowered the price down $100. So i got a gameadapter for it from my other friend. I am having some problems connecting to my router. I go to register new Xbox Live Account. Then It connects to my router but it cant connect... It knows my router is there but cannot connect. Do i have to add it to some allow list on my computer? or any other ideas?

try sifting through the settings of your router, check such things like MAC address filtering and ny WEP security installed on it, make sure all the info is correct on your xbox. You can usually get to your router settings by typing in 192.0.0.1 (i think) in your IE browser while connected to the router.

I had to buy a new router for the 360 because it wasnt compatible with the 360. It would connect etc but would never go the 100%
