Hahahahaha funny thing is that I had a button installed on the exterior of my computer that will completely format my 144GB HDD....that's where all my downloads go to...
Just to let you know when you format a HD it doesn't delete the data. All it does is tells the computer than that space is available for storing other files. The data is still there and can easily be recovered.
If you want to truely format your HD then you need a format program that will basically format the HD, save tiny files over the entire thing then reformat it. That way if anyone recovers the data its only those tiny, unimportant files.

Limewire (along with Kazza, eDonkey etc.) is even more dangerous than torrents.

Don't use torrents myself.

THat's right. I got busted downloading amovie with Limewire once - if I absolutely need something, I use torrents.

I have dial-up, so it'd be a little tougher to get my ip address lol (very slow, though).

I'll admit, I use LimeWire. I use it because I can't afford to buy a bunch of CD's. I burn some from my friends' CD's, but they don't have everything that I like.

I've expierimented with both LimeWire and Torrents.

And I disagree that it's easier to get your IP from limewire. They are both very easy, but atleast with LimeWire they'd have to do a little thinking...wit BitTorrent, you're like two clicks away from seeing a whole list of your peer's IP's.

And for some reason, torrent movies always come out really choppy for me.

My secret is to download LimeWire Pro off of Limewire...then disable everything that has anything to do with sharing. I haven't had any problems for a while now.

Everyone uses torrents. Even your grandmother does, but no body tells you anything about them or where they get them.

We're keeping the secret from you. And when you leave the room, we all laugh at your back.

Ahem. On a completely different note I'd like to inquire as to how you get caught bittorrenting something. What did that guy do? Go to his government job, start up bittorrent, and ask his boss how to use it? I thought that the government had better things to do than to sit around and catch every individual torrenter?

Constantine, how'd you get caught? What happened?
