UP9000-NPUI94356-_00-0000000000000001.rif

EDIT:
I think I've got it figured out, it's
UP????*-NPU?**?????***-_00-0000000000000001.rif/.SFO
but I don't have any idea where they get the numbers/letters where I have ? at.
*=0700 if the code starts SLUS, 9000 if the code starts with SCUS
**=I if the Game Code starts with SCUS, J if the code starts with SLUS
***=The last 5 numbers of the code, for example, SCUS94103

EDIT 2:
Well, I just tried editing it all to try Tekken 2, but it didn't work.

My new theory is that it was because Tekken 2 was modded with Hot Shots Golf 2, so I'm editing everything to make it think that it's Hot Shots Golf 2.

If that doesn't work, my last idea is to find a program that was meant to edit .rif and .SFO files, if anyone knows a program that does that, please tell me, it will DEFINITELY help in this.

Man, I just thought, if I get this to work with files not made by Sony, I'm sending this to Dark_Alex, than there will be a downgrader in like a day! lol I guess there is a reason for everything, the reason behind me having to send my 1.5 into Sony is that I would be more likely to work A LOT with 3.03, trying to come up with an exploit.

EDIT 3:
Okay, I'm not exactly sure how to modify it so that it works, but if I had a program that was actually meant to edit .rif and .SFO, I'd be able to figure it out more clearly. So if anyone knows one, PLEASE post it.

EDIT 5:
Bad News... Apparently if you edit the Licenses at all, it screws it up so that it won't work, even if nothing is changed. For example, I opened the .SFO of Crash Bandicoot, hit backspace, than Control+Z to undo it, than I saved it and went to the XMB, when I tried to open Crash, it said "The copyright protection information is invalid." So I will need to think of a way to change it, but not change the .SFO/.rif...

EDIT 6:
Well, I was going to give up, but I was watching some videos on Youtube, and one was about a guy who created a Eboot that said Version 3.04(It actually ran for a minute.) And than I read his comments, he said he used PSP Unpacker, so I messed around with it for a minute and saw that it actually runs, even though I edited the .SFO, and I thought "HEY! I could use this for the PSX games," so that's my new idea, I'm experimenting with it now.

EDIT 7:
DA**! Man, I thought I got it... But I didn't, I put the Grand Theft Auto 2 DATA.PSAR file in an EBOOT with all the rest of the files from Jumping Flash.

Than I went to start it, it showed the warning message, and than it got my hopes WAAAAAAAAY up and crushed them by saying "The game could not be started (80000004)"

I thought I had it, but it still doesn't work... I've almost got it I think though, since it's not talking about the Copyright information.

The release date thing didn't pan out. They look randomly generated, but there has to be a method to this madness.

Idk, I'm thinking about buying 1 more game to see if I can notice a differance... I'm debating between Jumping Flash and Syphon Filter... Both look like they'd be fun, but I don't know which to choose...

I got Jumping Flash because I already have a few shooting/action games, so I wanted something different. and I got it, jumping flash is 100% different, it's fun though.

Lol, I know, it's confusing... And I'm not able to do anything until I get a program that I can read what the .rif and .SFO files say, because it's a lot of gibberish right now...

Ryder, get on MSN, I'll try to explain it to you better on there.

It's cause you broke the encryption. We've been able to open signed Sony items since they came out, we just can duplicate them.
