The 10 Worst DS Games So Far

OK, since I linked up the 'worst PSP games', it is only fair that I do the same for the new DS version

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy

What's your favourite part of the original Star Wars trilogy? Is it the bit where a gold-bikini-clad Leia walks on thin air over the carnivorous Sarlacc Pit? Or when the Death Star II is destroyed and the actual miniatures used for the special effects shots collapse and vanish in an amateur fashion? What about when Luke slides down the invisible hill? And as for that bit when Harrison Ford got stuck in the set and the film had to be restarted... Wait a minute! That doesn't sound like Star Wars at all! It is, however, the Nintendo DS version of Lego Star Wars II. About as coherent as Yoda on crack, play the glorious PSP version instead.

Had to quote that one ... I bought the PC, PSP and DS versions of the game and the PC and PSP were brilliant, but the DS version was utterly craptastic!

Agreed - actually there is a decent article here that talks about the platforms from a game quality and originality perspective ...

the PSP boasts a host of good quality games, but they're not ones that gamers are excited about buying.

And that's the crux of the matter. If you own a PlayStation 2 (and as Sony never stops reminding us, there are quite a few people who do), why spend hundreds of pounds to play all the same games again, but on the bus?

I don't know why and I guess this is a little off topic but I tend to think of the DS as more of a console for minors rather than teens and adults, I can't really explain it but it's just my 2 pennies!

From what I've seen through GamerDad is that it is the teens to early 20's single males who hold that opinion. In reality, the DS is a console for everyone *except* those people.

Both the PSP AND the DS are for EVERYONE. It just relies on your personality and preference. I happen to love that fact tha the PSP game do so much in a little package, where as the DS can't. I'll always remember my sister coming up and asking "Can I put a wallpaper on my DS like you can on your PSP?"

I'd say pretty much any sports games on the DS suck. Horrible graphics and hardly any features at all. So just think of 10 random sports games (if there are that many) for the DS and those are my top 10.
