Default WEP keys

My mate has a wireless router but has no idea what his wep key is, how can we find out what it is? will it be on the router if he hasn't changed it since installing it?

In the address bar of you Internet Browser type: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 >>> most routers will use that as a home IP address or default gateway

it should ask for a username and password. I know that linksys there is no username and the password is "admin".

Navigate your way to wireless security or wireless>security or something like that. You can either enable it or diable it. it might ask you to make a wep key or it will generate one for you. That should be it.
