There has been a lot of speculation on GTA 4 and Ive gathered quite a bit up and done a lot of copy and pasting and come up with this. The following quote is from www.gta5.com.
Quote: Well I found this on GTA-sanandreas.com: Original Article Quote: Computer And Video games have recently reported some information which could be the first major clue to the location of the next Grand Theft Auto. As we should have learned by now, all of this information should be taken as speculation only until it's officially confirmed, however any news is useful, so feel free to have a look at this. Special thanks to Eddie for letting us know about it. While the Italian-American hijinks present in the Grand Theft Auto series have an undeniable appeal, the patriots in us tingle at the thought of some more UK-centric action. According to PSM, a Rockstar rep has revealed that the next generation GTA will be set in Europe, with a total of 6 cities featured in the game. The mag also states that the game will be officially unveiled at this year's E3 show and will be a PlayStation 3 exclusive. Interestingly, PSM also suggests that GTA4 will be released as early as the end of this year, alongside the PS3 itself. The mag writes that a "proper" GTA is released every two years, and speculates that 2006 is ripe for the next-gen sequel. What with the GTA developer being located here in good old Blighty, it's only a matter of time before Europe gets the full-on GTA treatment. As for whether there's any truth to the rumour though, we only have to wait a few months to find out. Source: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/r/?page=http://www.computerandvideogames.com/news/news_story.php(que)id=132576 End Quote So it is quite possible that we could be playing GTA in Europe in the distant future and if so, most likely GTA in London. Warning: the following content may **** off many playstation fans It has been revealed that the folks at Rockstar may of turned their loyalty from Playstation to Xbox. This article from http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360/actio...to4/index.html explains how the Xbox 360 will be receiving Xbox exclusive episodic content on the GTA 4 game. Quote: LOS ANGELES--In one of the most shocking announcements at E3, Microsoft revealed that it quite literally stole away some of Sony's audience. One of the PlayStation's most notoriously popular franchises, the Grand Theft Auto series, will now get a head start on the Xbox 360. Previous editions of GTA were released exclusively on the PlayStation 2 in October, and were later ported to the Xbox. Now, it appears the roles may have been flip-flopped. At today's Microsoft pre-E3 conference, Peter Moore pulled back his right shirt sleeve and revealed the familiar Halo 2 logo. Duping the audience into thinking that a new Halo was about to be announced, the Englishman then pulled back his left shirt sleeve, which revealed a tattoo that showed a Grand Theft Auto IV logo. Grand Theft Auto IV will be available on October 16, 2007, in North America, and October 19 in Europe. At this point it's unclear if this means that it won't be appearing on the PlayStation 3 or any other console at the same time. No footage of the game was shown, nor was any subtitle or setting. Moore did announce that Microsoft and Rockstar have signed an exclusive agreement to provide episodic content via Xbox Live, however he did not specifically limit the content to GTAIV. End Quote Someone over at www.digg.com apparently received an email from a "disgruntled Rockstar employee" including the image which can be found at http://www.gtablog.com/images/gta4.jpg. The question is is the image a future GTA game, or just a fake. Also, on the topic of grapics if you head over to an article featured at http://gamepro.com/news.cfm?article_id=66568 you will discover that during an interview with MTV.com Rockstar representatives revealed that they would be using the RAGE graphics engine featured in their Table Tennis game, but just so that you won't look like this  for the rest of the week P.S. if your interested more in GTA 4 just head over to www.gta5.com, don't let the name fool you. The www.gta5.com forums are where I got most of my info. Also it may interest you to know that the guy who runs this site also runs www.gta5.com so come register at www.gta5.com cause all the guys over there are looking for more members. |
