how do game devlopers no ps3 games will work? - PSP-Forum.com

I was just looking at all the game previews for the ps3 over at gamespot.
I was just wondering though.... how do they no theirs games will work if
the ps3 isnt out yet? what do they test it on?

Its ok being given specs for the ps3 from sony but surley nothing beats actually testing it on a ps3 machine?

what do they do?

Don't be silly, there are obviously many Sony PS3s in existance, just not quite finished and certainly not ready for the public. Any upcoming video game conferences and what not probably will have PS3 demos available on ACTUAL PS3s.

The developers get Software development Kits to develop games (on PC's) for the PS3. Anything they code using the Kit will work on PS3.

definatly wrong buddy they do get the SDK but just throwing the code in there doesnt make it work lol they have PS3's to test on

they 'probably' do now but not when they started developing.

Plus the run the code on there PC, ie the whole point of an SDK :P
