Yahoo Japan Survey Reveals Little Interest in PS3 at Current Price.

In a survey reportedly conducted by Yahoo Japan, it would appear that Japanese consumers are put off by the 'high' price of the PS3 - with just 8% saying they will buy the console even if the launch price is high. Over 50% of those surveyed said they may buy one when the price is reduced or presently have no interest.

Yahoo! Japan recently surveyed 20,000 users for their opinions on the PS3 retail price:

- 8% (1548 votes) - I will buy the console on the launch day even if the price is high
- 19% (3725 votes) - Undecided due to the high price
- 25% (4814 votes) - I will buy when the price is reduced
- 26% (5171 votes) - Might buy when price is reduced
- 24% (4742 votes) - Presently have no interest to buy

So much for Sony's "no matter what the cost" theory.

Not at all mate, I will be buying a PS3 when it comes out as I am lucky to earn enough money to be able to afford both. My point all along is that if you can't afford both then the 360 is the better option in my opinion.

As for this thread, I'm just posting a news item.

How can I hate something that isn't even available? I neither love or hate it but I do think Sony are shooting themselves in the foot. All I was doing was offering a different opinion than most people on here. Namely that waiting for the PS3 when you could buy the 360 now is pointless.

I can also afford both systems, and if i am convinced that the XBOX is very similar in graphics, and they bring out good games, then i too will get both.

I am not a sony fanboy and dont hate microsoft, after all i wouldnt be tyoing this post if it wasnt for microsoft.
