Not a FF fan myself, yet never played it so cant slate it.
Yes but not all span into 12 and counting. Plus quite a few are almost identical to other ones with nothing but a number change.

i guess thats just your way of seeing it. i see it completely differently though. each ff has a different set of characters, worlds, types of people and buildings. oh, and the stories are quite different.

im glad they went on this far as to make a ff12 and still going. what's wrong with that. theres a lot of ff fans and they're still selling strong like they always have. plus, ff games arent sequals like a lot of other games, so its different.

Like you said, we see things differently. I personally don't get this Japanese gaming culture, or at least the Final Fantasy side of it. However, I can certainly appreciate that people do and obviously don't have a problem with it. You stick to your Final Fantasy and I will stick to Baldur's Gate and Elder Scrolls.

As for the games still being made and still selling strong I don't really put much credance in that. Quantity of sales and longevity of a particular brand has never been an indication of quality.

No, but do you really think the the boss of whoever makes these type of games, really care if the game is good or not, they are too busy choosing which lamborghini they should drive today.

Obviously not, I'm not that naive. Only an idiot or a perfectionist would care about the quality of a product (unless it involved safety issues) while it was selling like hot cakes.
