Sorry to spill this but it looks like the PS3 is only going to make it by late 2006.

Its been put down to Blu-Ray "refinments"

I detect the European launch will now slip past into 2007 as a result.

Blu-Ray refinements. That has to be the worst excuse ever. Anyway, I'm not surprised or bothered to be honest. By the time it comes out it would have to be so much better than the 360 to even begin to make up for the delay. And I don't think it will be. Expect to be disappointed technically.

Ya, no suprise there. I never expected it to be out by spring. Oh well, it will be worth the wait.

Don't bet on it. I expect it to be a successful console but I don't expect it to be worth the wait. I hope I'm wrong though.

the only reason i want a ps3 is for the games for it. i like the 360 and i would get it, if it had ff games. i know ps3 wont be as good as would want, but i still think it would be great. i also dont like the controllers. hopefully they make a version without giant fangs for grips.

If you can afford it then do what I am going to do and get both. However, if it's a one or 'tuther (as a Yorkshireman would say) then I would get a 360. I'm certain there is going to be less difference in hardware muscle than Sony is making out and there are not many games that are going to be PS3 only that are worth being that bothered about. I have always found FF games to overated Japanese twaddle so that wouldn't make or break a deal for me.

i bet that ps3 won't be a big deal, i'm not expecting so much from that console. Everyone says next-gen but do you think that xbox360 is really that next-gen?? overall it has only better graphic...and i expect the same for ps3
the only next-gen console (i think) will be nindendo revolution, not for graphic but for a completely different way of playing (after this i don't understand why nintendo fans are not yet bored of all those mario and zelda z__Z)

(and by the way xbox360 will soon have final fantasy XI online on it)
