Briefly to the top of the console charts in Japan I suspect. As for other countries/regions I will be very surprised if it's sales tops that of the Gamecube and that is generally viewed as being a failure. Certainly from a sales point of view anyway.

Time will tell but with the DS selling like hot cakes at the moment Nintendo aren't going anywhere regardless of how the Revolution does.

Indeed. They've got quite a nest egg in the event the Revolution fails in the shape of the DS and GBA. But I seriously can't see gamers turning thier backs on the Microsoft and Sony brands for Nintendo.

I can't see how people can be excited for a controller that's like a remote control...

The XBOX has a year head start in which to base its foundations before Sony show up. A year Sony will have to make up at some point if its to be claimed the overall winner of the next generation.

As for the Revolution, thats aimed at a different market as far as I can tell. Until the initial batch of games are released or become known, we won't be able to tell if its going for the general gamer or targeting the Nintendo Hardcore.

Pricewise, the Playstation has stiff competition from its competators. If it does hit the £400 mark then thats likely to put off people from immidiatly buying the console, instead either waiting for the prices to drop or they'll just buy the cheaper and slightly less powerful XBOX 360. As for the Revolution, God only knows where thats going....
a head start dosn't mean i'll do anything, besides PS3 will tower over the gameing indrestry...and about the revalution, the controller thing-e it's got going..ewwwwwww gross, and x-box 360's online mode,I bet sony's awar of this and will CRUSH it..PS3 in fact will be a lot friendlyer then the..um..two crap concels.I mean just the revalotion is crap (i can sence it,in my cat sences,or mabye it's all just the Mares bars i ate from the trash.......tuna purhaps? nvm)

Well, from what I can get out of what you're saying I think you said that the PS3 online play will crush the 360's. If the PS3's online gaming is the same as the PS2's it will definatly not CRUSH Xbox Live. I have played PS2 online and compared to Xbox Live it is total crap. Xbox Live is far more advanced than Playstation Online. I'm sure most people would prefer Xbox Live.

no,what im trying to say is.....Playstation is awar of how good x-box live is (hey it really is truly a wonderful service for online gameing) but sony's cooking up something big, something massive, huge, overwhelming, and it certinally will possibaly tower over XBOX live..mabye..will see this sometime in the future..stay tooned!

No, they say they are, but I wouldn't believe anything until I see it with my own eyes.
