But you have to admit - for Microsoft's first hooray into the console market, it was amazing.

yeah, they did do pretty well for being their first console and all.

I can't wait for the PS3 to come out, but while I am waiting I will play on my XBOX 360 to pass the time away

You could be right... but I was hooked on Call of Duty 2 for the three days it took me to finish it hehehehehehehe

There is a list of backward compatible games on the ms website which makes for nice reading.

But I think we are all looking forward to the ps3 and all hoping that it will be stunning.

The PS3 is going to be so far past the 360 that it would be a waste getting a 360 right now. Sony always comes out with so many more titles anyway. Bill Gates can lick em.

Depends where you read.

Man insiders claim the XBOX360 is more efficent at using its power then the PS3.

Well first of all, the PS3 seems to have a 'better' processor. With 9 cores and a high amount of RAM, the PS3 would definently take up much more power.

But I don't think the XBOX360 is very good at managing its power anyway; I've heard many people say that their XBOX always overheats and shuts down...

I am willing to bet the power difference between the two consoles will be less than the difference between the Xbox and PS2. And while everyone knows the Xbox is a damn site more powerful than the PS2 BUT as has already been discussed on this thread, it doesn't mean it is a better console.

Don't be at all surprised if, like the PS2 when it was released, the PS3 turn out to be a technical disappointment. There are a lot of similar scenarios here to back then - just swap the Dreamcast for the Xbox 360. Sony went out of their way to advertise the PS2 as having an 'emotion' chip and said it could design planets in it's spare time - it was all just hype bullsh*t to stop people buying the Dreamcast. When the PS2 was released I for one was disappointed - it just wasn't as good, technically, as they made it out to be. They are doing the same now, purely to make people wait and not buy a Xbox 360. At least with Microsoft's effort you know what you are getting.
