what do you mean it will never happen? Of course it will, I am sure Microsoft will make a handheld, and if they do I hope they make the second one, it looks like it can play movies (dvd)

they might make one in like 5-10 years but prob. not any time soon. (dont get me wrong i would love to see it done) but they (at the moment) will be concentrating on the 360 and after that they will prob. start production on the next gen. after that

Microsoft are going at it quite busily, with the new Windows on its way, and of course the 360, maybe, or possibly in near futire we could see a handheld to go up against future Ninty handhelds and the PSP

I don't think so. "Handheld gaming is a individual, destructive activity" AKA, microsoft thinks that it isn't good for you...

nope, microsoft wont make a handheld this generation

beating nintendos stranglehold over the handheld market is impossible, even though the psp has made a sizeabe dent! and microsoft have there pocket pc windows products with portable versions of there games to promote, and have also made the psp be able to comunicate with the 360 in sone way, so a portable xbox would be a waste of time and money. why spend loads on something, when u can let someone else build it, then just use it!

Agreed. However, now that Sony have entered the market, expect them to reverse the stranglehold within two years. Would you have said Sony would be the best selling console manufacturers within two years a week before the PS1 was released? No, neither would I. They have a lot more muscle than Nintendo.
