With that system it still lags when running the original UT? (not UT2k3 or 2k4). Cause with my old, p3 700mhz 128 ram TNT2 32mb card, it can run smooth as silk.

Well, as long as we're comparing, I'm sitting on a 1.4 gig Celeron with 384 megs of RAM. I've also got a 128 meg G-force 5200 series under the hood. I can run UT original in 640x480 with all detail levels jacked up, and anti-aliasing set to 2xQ to smooth jagged edges, with relative ease. I can double the res to, say, 1024x768 and it'll start to hiccup.

Keep FPS's where they belong.. On a Insane PC. Seriously how can anyone play a shooter on a console? The mouse and keyboard is the only way to play them.

some of my favs.

CS:S, HL2, UT2004, COD, BF2, HL.

Wow I rose this thread from the dead.

Well, there's none of that annoying "lift your hand and reposition the mouse so you can use it better" crap. And all of the buttons are right there, instead of having to find them on a keyboard.

They really aren't that hard to find on a keyboard. If you've taken a typing class then you should automatically know where they are. If not, then talking on forums, chatting or anything else on the internet should have taught you by now the keyboard.

I, too, agree that FPSs belong on the keyboard and mouse setup. You're able to make so many more commands and you can do all these types of maneuvers that just aren't possible on a controller...not to mention MUCH more precise aiming.

My favorite online game: StarCraft followed by Battlefield 1942
