Default PS2 online game play

Does anyone know how to play online with a PS2? I tried to get online with Resident Evil but I couldn't. Do I need to buy something to get online because when I try to connect to the internet, it says my connection keeps timing out. I have a slim PS2 and a wireless internet connection. All help is appreciated.

Don't you need to get a wireless adapter to get the PS2 online? Hmm i'm not 100% sure.

Well, I know it does have the internet port built into it. I've been doing some research and I can't seem to find if you do need to get the adapter. I will look some more.

the ps2 does not have wireless. you have to buy a cord and hook it up to your internet. then you have to run the disc that comes with the cord. then you can play live.

No, so long you have a network adapter, or a slim PS2, you just need an ethernet cable. No CD.
