(This will be the thread for all of the next-gen debates/discussions. I'm sure that people are tired of 4 threads about the same thing.)

Yes, Nintenodo WILL be a factor. And it's because of all the Nintendo fans that only buy their systems. Not to mention, they have a download service for ll their previous console games, thus greating a nostolgia(Spelling?) factor. Adults will buy it just to re-live their glory days where they were in the arcade kicking ass and taking names. As for Sony's processing power, that may be true, but they have more floating point system power, not general processing. This is a little odd, since general processing is the easiest to program games on. Also Sony has the back library of two generations, where as Microsoft will only have one. But Microsoft has customizable consoles along with a new Xbox Live service.
Only time will decide a winner. I vote Xbox 360 ![]() Constantine |

Well, I personally think that getting a Revolution just to download a specific game is a waste of money, as I can just go to my local Pawn America, and they have all of those old games for a dollar. I even found a gem- E.T. I promptly sold it for 20 bucks on Ebay. (I still haven't gotten my check, but whatever. xD) Anyways, there's nothing better than getting a fresh, old NES game, blowing the dust out of the card slot, and sitting down with your old NES controller for a little old school gaming. You can't do that with the "downloaded content".

Ah, but you don't know what the Revolution controller will be. No one knows as of yet. But they wouldn't get it soley for the downloads. It's backwards compatible with GC and it's small as hell. The actual version will be smaller than the one shown at E3. Just like the GameCube, Nintendo likes small things. (And no, that was not a perverted joke).

Well, does anyone have any actual verified info on the revolution? Nintendo hasn't really said a word about it. I wonder if it's going to be awesome...
If Nintendo Revolution's selling point is the controller and the classic game downloading, shouldn't it be more Retro than Revo?

I bought an E3 All Access DVD at Gamestop, and he pulled out the Revolution (alpha version) and waved it around at everyone, then asked everyone what color they want, which the croud responded in a hellstorm of shouting their favorite color.
He said that they would all have Wi-Fi, which brought up one of my many questions,...Why would someone haul around a T.V. and a Revolution to, say, a cafe? So, only people with wireless broadband can play over the internet? Meh, I'd get more into it, but I'm lazy and tired. |

Uhm, hmm:I believe that the WiFi is for DS connectivity, similar to the PS3 PSP thing. It would go Internet--Hardwired-->Revolution--wireless-->DS. Or so they say. Anyways romur has it that the controller will be touch screen, producing digital representations of the past controllers for easier controlling. Jeeze, how often can I say controller?
