By blood and gore I meant by entrails hanging all over the place, ripping people in half or zombies eating at your gal bladder.

Halo 2 does have it's share of blood, as did Goldeneye.

Wow, back on topic.

It seems that the PS3 will NOT be backwards compatible, so the Xbox360 will have a slight advantage. Well, I'd like to play some old classics once in a while, like Katamari Damacy or God of War on the PS3, but it looks like I'll have to settle for Ninja Gaiden and Halo 2.
This...

And, I couldn't resist double posting/make it a new post so people will notice the thread....

It seems that the price of the PS3 will be set at $299 according to Amazon.com's preorder price set by Sony.

Here.

This article doesn't mention a word about backwards compatibility. It just says that HDDVD and Blue Ray can not come to an agreement on next gen media formats. It says the only supported format will be Blue Ray which includes CD, DVD and so forth.

I read in a couple places that Blu-Ray isn't compatible with just regular DVD-Roms, because the wavelength of the laser doesn't read the larger writing of the CD-Rom disks...

If you can find something to disprove them, I'll concede defeat in this argument/discussion.

Blu-ray isn't compatible with DVD player cause it's a new type of disc. It can hold, like, 4 or 5 DVDs if I remember correctly.

WTF? Can't be backwards compatible, that'd stink.
Wow, $299? I though it would be about $400.

Who cares about Blu-ray? Did you guys hear about Holographic memory? Lighting fast read/write time, 300GB each disk. Coming out next year. (But it's still going to be hella expesive)

Yeah, but they would need a machine powerful enough to do that. It can't be my old Windows 95 computer. It would have to be FASTER than a g5, and that's what they use to MAKE games, not play them. Do you know how expensive that would be?

Blu-ray isn't revolutionary.
