Microsoft and Sony will fight like dogs. there will be many casualties. Nintendo will not be all up in the hussle and bussle but, they will sit back with their army of VERY LOYAL gamers and they will come out with a HUGE game every 6 months or so to boost sales (ZELDA, METROID, RESIDENT EVIL 5???)

i think that xbox and PS3 will be fairly even. we are entering into a time where graphics wont really be much of a factor. i think that both systems will have really great games.

kids that like Halo, Ninja Gaiden, and other XBOX exclusive titles will definately pick XBOX.

kids that like GTA, Metal Gear, Twisted Metal, and God of War will definately pick PS3.

Sony and Microsoft will not be able to fight over specs and things like that because they really arent going to be affecting games very much at all, considering the amazing power of both systems. the only way for one of them to have a chance of coming out on top is this.............. CREATE THE BEST GAMES!!!!

thus, gamers everywhere will get what they want on their selective consoles. I, for one, will be purchasing a Playstation 3. and the ONLY reason is because i have grown to love all of the playstation exclusive titles. Halo fans will make their decision too. soon, console wars will be a thing of the past and the real war will be about WHAT ARE THE BETTER GAMES. and this is a competition that will greatly benefit this industry.

Yep this next GEN is all gonna come down too who you aree loyal too... i am loyal to the xbox comun' but i used to own a ps1 and then a ps2 and NOW a psp,so i am not COMPLETLY a microsoft fanboi... BUT i will be getting an xbox 360 because i mainly play FPS, sports,fighting strategy and racing games...sometimes an RPG here and there... and my fave game of all time is halo, so its pretty obvius im gonna get a xbx360.
now kids that like mario games aree probly gonna get a revolution... BUT the thing sony has pulling for them is that they dont exactly have ONEe type of audience. they have some fps games on the ps2 they have racng fighting everything... so they dont exactly pertain to one group of people as much of the other two companies...

also yeah... when some people think of next-gen they think of pretty graphics and faster frame rates... some people think of allot more of a ability too be creative... some people just think of it as a way for them to just make you pay more money... and for those people that think the nextgen battle is gonna be about hardware... they're WRONG. I think the next-gen battle is gonna bedetermined by the games. Uhhh...yeah the ps3 is suppossedly faster and "better" than the xbox 360,but not enough to make a BIG diffrence...

I think EBGames rocks and xbox 360 will kick ass but ps3 will come out and xbox 360 will kick ass even more because the psp will be the most expensive games console ever and the revoulution will be as crap as Dharma and Gregg. :wink:

Well, just to let you both know, EBGames is being bought out by Gamestop. That, and the PSP is no where near the moxt expensive game console. A very very hi-tech PC upgraded with the Pentium Xeon, or a G5 is the most expensive game console. And Greg has only two G's.

I happen to think that the next installment of Nintendo's home console will be one of the best things to come out since sliced bread. Even though I don't know much about it (neither does anyone else), the fact that it's completely backwards compatible with the GCN is a selling point for me. This is something even the PS3 won't do anymore since they're using different controllers and no one knows how the memory cards will work. Also being an avid SSB:M player, it's a VERY good selling point.

The Xbox 360 is also looking very interesting, but I want to see games that aren't all realistic guts and glory. I want to see something innovative which couldn't be done on past consoles. The Pikmins were showcases of this on the GCN. GTA was another good showcase as was KotoR. We'll see though.

Well, I suppose Kameo is a new game that just couldn't be done before on account of processing power was just too low, and it's on the 360.
