Hi! I'm new around here...
|
I highly doubt Rockstar would sell out to MS. If they did I would be extremely dissapointed in them. MS doesnt even deserve to be associated with Rockstar

Microsoft is a better Consol for Rockstar IMO.
I seriouslly think sony just goes half-assed on all their systems. PSP being the first one I liked that they have put out. Hopefully the ps3 will be a great system, but with all the pre-rendered scandal I Highly Doubt it. All the GTA games have been better on X-BOX reguarless, they always go the extra mile with the graphics, effects ect josh

here in South Africa, they are giving away a Adidas (Green) ball for those who pre order a 360, yeah and u should give R360,00 ($47) as first payment . . .
it will cost R3699,00 ($483) i would buy the 360 only because of this ball ![]() the ps3 here will cost too much maybe R6000 to R7000, and will only come next year Nintendo is not famous here (damn it) i want my Wii

Thought I'd add some of my thoughts to this thread now that I've had experience in playing all three systems and on hearing my friends misjudgement of the systems.
A quick round-up of the three systems; Nintendo Wii: Something which most people should have sat under their telly, be them a gamer or not, something you and your mates will have a great laugh on after a few bevvies down the pub, something you can play with your whole family including grandparents and the younger children. Very cute graphics and the way to control it makes it more fun to play, the features which Nintendo have added (news, weather, everybody votes) gives it more appeal but aren't really worth it, just something to have a look at for a quick 5 minutes. Having the internet explorer on it is a very handy feature too, which does support youtube videos. Though the online features aren't as good, having to use friend-codes to add to your friend list, plus the server must not be as good as I found I got kicked out A LOT when trying to play Mario Strikers online, because of this, this isn't a console for your average gamer who enjoys cutting edge graphics and likes playing for hours on end on games, doing this on the wii will give you aches and pains the next day. The reason why nintendo are selling so many of these is because EVERYONE wants one, even though it may only be used for a couple of months, then only then and again when they want to, it's a step closer to VR. X-Box 360: Brilliant, I can't believe I didn't get one sooner, the online experience is great though lacking only because there is no internet explorer IMO, but otherwise great, tournaments, seeing each others gamercards and what other people are currently doing, being able to send and receive messages instantly, including having msn messenger to use so you can talk to your msn contacts. Downloading of new demo's, loads available, loads of video's available, and classic games to download (though this is available on all three next-gen consoles so isn't a factor between them). Cutting edge graphics which IMO do rival those of the ps3's. The main dashboard is easy to use and can be changed to a theme. I have spent more time on my own playing the 360 than the Wii and find myself looking forward to get home to go play some more, much more than the Wii, which I found myself playing when I was really bored or had friends over. PS3: Again a brilliant system, though I haven't seen any games on it so far that I have played on the 360, when my friend gets Dirt for it, I can elaborate on the graphics a lot more, but from what I have seen, amazing graphics, very detailed with even attention to detail in the faces of the spectators in Fight Night round 3 for example. Tony Hawks project 8 does look very realistic but the graphics are very sharp, not as smooth as those of the 360. I'm not very impressed with it's loading times, maybe it's just me, but it seems slow especially when loading a car in the car select screen on motorstorm. The main screen is, as you are all probably aware, the same as the PSP interface and is very nice, I haven't yet had a go on playstation online as my friend doesn't have wireless, but that's one thing the ps has over the 360 is a built in wireless card, this will cost around £50($100)for an adaptor for the 360. From what I have seen, Playstation Home does look sweet and am annoyed that I wont be experiencing it, even though it may turn out to be something i wouldn't use anyway. Something which may sway people to think that the ps3 is better than the 360 is the misconception that because the ps2 did soo much better than the big ol' ugly x-box, that the PS3 MUST be better than the 360. WRONG, my friend thought this, but after doing some research on t'interweb, found this to be wrong, not fanboyism, just people assuming from past experience (the car manufacturer skoda springs to mind) So to sum up, neither console is better, the Wii is just something different that IMO isn't in the same market sector as it's rivals, the 360 is good as it's already got a great library of games for it and MS still have things up their sleeves for it, the PS is still young, and does have the potential to be something great so we'll have to wait and see. Kudos to you for reading all that ![]()

+ 100 Kudos to kev for reading that!
Good comparison, though i disagree with you on the built in wireless being an advantage. Ok to some it may be different to me, but i dont need wireless and would get annoyed that im paying an extra £50 for the wireless card thats inside which will never be used. And no i wont use my psp in conjuction with it. Obviously, those who need wireless are going to disagree with me, but you can pick up wireless adapters for the 360 for £40 nowdays, which is near to the price sony could cut out if they removed the wireless feature. The wii looks fun, but im still wondering if its really worth the money, i mean i have enough fun when im off my head as it is. I am looking forward to the growth of both consoles and when i have enough money and the ps3 becomes value for money (IMO at the moment its not) then i will get one. By that time MGS4 should be a bit cheaper and some new cool games come out. I would loook into getting a different controller for it though, i dont like those triggers or the dualshock at all in that matter. Maybe a controller in a 360 controller shell, that would be cool.
