I'd look like a tiny disc like thing. Pretty easy to recognise. I have an with colour phasing LED's (its one of those glass bits of glass that has the time on it and when you touch it it lights up and gives you the time, push it more times and it tells you other things like the date or the temp.
Anyway, whenever you touched it it would beep really really loudly. Goddam annoying, especially in the middle of the night. So I opened it up and snipped one of the wires going to the speaker and... instant silence! Your best bet in finding it is do something on your camera that makes a lot of noise, like play a video and try locate where the sound is coming from. THat way you know roughly where the speaker is.

Yeah, that's what I thought it looked like, only thing is, there's nothing like that in there, there was a metal cilinder that sounded like that's where it was coming from, but I took that out and it broke, I'll take it back and get a new one sometime soon... The only other thing I could think of is this big black cover looking thing, it might be under tjere. It was only a $20 camera, so it's not fancy.

Probably can't get one for a while, I'd need to find my mom's digital camera because there's ALL KINDS of circuits and what not, so anything partially fuzzy would screw everything up. What I'm getting at here is that my mom's digital Camera is like 7 MP I think, so you'd be able to pinpoint it a lot easier.

Ok, if you can snap one, then let me know and I'll help you out. If not, try following where the speaker is cut out of the casing. There should be a hole or a few slots depending on what type of driver and style they used to mount the speaker. Folow that to the inside and you should be able to find the speaker.

I think I'm not going too try to remove the speaker any more, the camera works fine, so I'm just going to face the fact that I can't use it in school
if I electrical taped the circuit board where the speaker is, and put it back in the casing, than electrical taped the case around where it is, I bet it'd be wuit enough to use in class and wherever I want. |
