Hello everyone,
I need some suggestions regarding the speed of my PC. Speed as in how fast it takes to start up, load and play games without lagging badly... I currently use a 512mb ram drive (i know it doensn't meet the minimum requirements of games right now... -_-") One of my friends told me to just simply buy a new PC but it would cost alot... My other friend also suggested to buy a 1gb ram drive but the problem is, I dont know my motherboard type so if I buy the wrong ram for the wrong motherboard it wont fit. Any suggestions?

Give us your motherboard details and i will look into what i feel would be good for you.
My PC which is going to be a stormer is going to cost me just over £300. Which is brilliant in my eyes. All good updating Ram but the CPU may be slow and motherboard may only support the slower speed Ram sticks. Kev 8)

To upgrade your pc you really want to work out what you want it to do for you.... do you want a games machine, an internet surfer, a homework helper, a business machine or an all rounder???
Depending on what you want and how much you have to spend will guide people into advising you on your options. Normally a games machine is the most expensive option if your after cutting edge graphics etc. For these you need fast ram and a fast cpu and obviously a decent graphics card... all of these are no good unless you have a decent monitor to show you the quality of the components. As Kev suggested post the full specifics of your machine now.... CPU Memory (amount and type) Hard drive (capacity and speed) Mother board spec Powersupply (max watts output) Once armed with this information I am sure one of the techheads here will be able to advise you on your best option. Depending on the state of your current PC I would probably recommend you ditch most of it and build a new PC. If you give me a budget I'll see what I can find for you to build a gaming PC.
You'll probably want to spring for a DX10 gaphics card (any of the GeForce 8 series) so consider that too.
